PEQLAB LLC introduces the peqSTAR Family of Thermocyclers
WILMINGTON, Delaware – PEQLAB, LLC, the US subsidiary of PEQLAB Biotechnologie GmbH, today announced that the remarkable peqSTAR family - a high performance range of thermocyclers with PCR technology designed for the 21st century – is now available in North America.
peqSTAR thermocyclers feature rapid heating and cooling rates of up to 5 ºC/s with no overshoots. Six individually controlled Peltier elements direct the thermoblock for uniform block temperatures and linear temperature gradients when optimizing reaction conditions, ensuring reproducible results. Operation is simple, with TFT touch-screen display or mouse-controlled operation, USB connectivity and LAN networking for data transfer. Also included is free PC-based protocol editor software for simple programming for a broad range of applications. This line includes standard and gradient-enabled models, with self-adjusting spring or high-press lids, in universal 96 well, 384-well and in situ slide block formats.
PEQLAB thermocyclers, including the peqSTAR family and the Primus 25 advanced®, are manufactured in Germany under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality certifications and are fully licensed and authorized for PCR. These models feature a single block for both 0.2- and 0.5-mL tubes and versatile programming capabilities for a broad range of applications including touch-down PCR, Long-distance PCR or one-step RT-PCR. High quality construction includes the use of robust components such as Peltier elements with Long Life and High-Temperature Range Technologies. Accurate calibration to NIST standard is regularly monitored by the German Calibration Service (DKD). All thermocyclers include a 2 year warranty.
